Flat woven wire sling SLK

Purpose

Braided rope slings are designed for lifting metal products in seaports, metallurgical and metalworking enterprises. SLK slings are widely used when lifting coils of steel, metal sheets, slabs, blooms and other loads, where a wider area of contact with the load is required.

A sling is a repeatedly intertwined piece of rope, the ends of which are sealed with a sleeve or a rope clamp. The shape of the sling is maintained due to the frictional force that occurs between the braided rope branches. The use of a rope of a smaller diameter makes it possible to achieve greater flexibility of the SLK slings in comparison with conventional slings with the same carrying capacity.

Good flexibility and wide contact area allows the use of slings for handling loads with sharp edges without additional protection.
