Purpose
Mounting winch is one of the most simple, affordable, and reliable types of devices (electric winches). All types and models of mounting winches have been designed for lifting and relocation operations during construction, installation, and other operations, and to fit into various hoisting devices and machinery.
Winch can operate in the following conditions:
- Environment – not explosive.
- Ambient temperature from -40 °C to +40 °C.
- Working position – mounted on horizontal platform.
- Winches version for moderate climate – U2, for tropical climate – T2.
- Mode of operation – light-duty.
Mounting winch consists of a solid support frame that hosts the power pack and all other units. The working member of the winch is a drum that serves to wind the rope. Welded drum is installed on the low-speed shaft of the gearbox on one side, and on the support through the bearing on the other. Torque is transmitted to it from the electric motor through the pin-and-bush clutch and gearbox. C2U gearbox increases the torque and reduces the speed.
During installation, the winch must be securely fixed at the working site, and grounded. Do not weld the winch to the supporting surface! The weight of the lifted load should not exceed the nominal capacity of the winch. Wire rope must be securely fixed. With full unwinding of the rope, there should be at least three convolutions of the rope. Only personnel who has passed the relevant training and briefing are allowed to operate the winch.
