Purpose
Combined ropes are made of steel wires with organic or synthetic strands and yarns. Synthetic strands are twisted around the steel rope and tightly cover its surface. With this configuration, the properties of the rope are almost unchanged, and a surface with a good friction coefficient is formed, which makes it possible to pull the rope by hand. These ropes include the Hercules combined rope that is widely used in fishing industry.
Design
Combined ropes structure is made with synthetic fiber and steel wire. Rope is formed by using the wire rope twisting technology, six strands of the rope around the polypropylene core.
Hercules equally strong rope is averagely 5 times thicker than the steel one and 1.5-2 times thinner than the hemp rope. Weight of such rope is twice less than the hemp rope, and slightly different from the steel rope, and the service life is much longer than that of the hemp rope.
